What's Happening at the L30 Centre

Monday

  • Cosy Comfort Breakfast Club – provides a full English breakfast, cooked by the community and everyone is welcome for a free brunch and friendship, followed by games and chats
  • 10.30am-12.30pm
  • Stretch & Relaxation – A session for all ages and abilities to improve flexibility and to start the week in a mindful way
  • 1.45pm-2.45pm
  • Walk & Talk/Litter Pick – Keeping our community clean, one bag at a time. Join us and make a difference where you live
  • 10.30am – 12.30pm

Tuesday

  • Slow Cooker sessions – A free slow cooker and all of the ingredients to make a healthy family meal each provided, alongside receiving nutritional and energy efficiency advice
  • Scouts – run by local community members, this is a positive activity for children and young people aged 5-16 years

Wednesday

  • Hula Hoop exercise – this has continued to be a really popular way for women, who would not normally take part in exercise, to enjoy a high energy session, with lots of laughs too.
  • 9.30am-10.15am
  • Knit and Natter – a group of ladies continue to meet to enjoy knitting together, and to also asupport each other in everyday life.
  • 1.00pm – 3.00pm
  • Stretch & Relaxation – A session for all ages and abilities to improve flexibility and to start the week in a mindful way.
  • 10.30am-1.15pm
  • Family fitness – families come together to exercise and take part in meditation together
  • 5.15pm – 6.15pm
  • Yoga – a second session to enable the community to access affordable, local sessions
  • 6.30pm – 7.30pm
  • Ukulele – this is an activity, which brings people together to learn a new skill whilst having fun

 

Thursday

  • Camera Club – this group has been running for 10 years now and every year new members join to share their skills and passion for photography
  • 9.00am – 12.00pm
  • Cosy Comfort Lunch Club – A team of community members have continued to prepare a free healthy hot lunch and dessert each week, and once a month the Good Grub Club also come along to host a session for everyone to cook and eat together 
  • 11.30am – 1.30pm
  • Morris Dancers – a group of 8 local people run this dancing group for children aged 5 up to adults to enjoy physical exercise and take part in weekend competitions
  • 4.30pm – 8.30pm
  • Citizens Advice – Our Citizens Advice advisor is onsite to offer confidential support with benefits, housing, debt, and more. They are only available by appointment, so please contact us to book a session.
  • 9.00am – 4.00pm

Friday

  • Morning Community Pantry – This Friday morning community pantry continues to support local people experiencing financial hardship. The dedicated group of community members running the pantry remain committed to the service and regularly hold fundraising events to keep it going.
  • 10.00am-12.00pm
  • Friday Night pantry – The Friday‑night pantry, set up in June 2023, is run by the community for the community. It provides financial support while offering a weekly meeting place where friendships grow and people can access guidance to other services.
  • 4.30pm – 6.00pm
  • Seniors Coffee morning – Join us for a cup of tea/coffee on toast and chat with friends.
  • 10.00am – 12.00pm
  • Citizens Advice – Our Citizens Advice advisor is onsite to offer confidential support with benefits, housing, debt, and more. They are only available by appointment, so please contact us to book a session.
